The Department of Tourism has unveiled its “Holistic Blue Leisure Destination” vision alongside the Blue Business Plan Dialogue, laying the foundation for a sustainable future for Thailand’s marine tourism industry.
On behalf of PRE Sustainable Consultancy, Paspol Sariman and Prangchompoo Koolpruksee were honored to be invited as speakers in the panel discussion titled: “The Role of the Private Sector in Achieving SDG 14: Life Below Water Through Practical and Sustainable Tourism Business Practices.”
PRE believes that sustainability is more than a framework—it is a mindset that transforms good intentions into lasting action, creating value for the ocean, local communities, and businesses alike. More importantly, it serves as the foundation for practical strategies that enable tourism operators to achieve measurable business outcomes.
This is particularly relevant to Thailand’s Andaman Coast, where world-renowned marine ecosystems form the heart of the visitor experience. The challenge is to design a growth model that protects marine life while simultaneously enhancing service quality and strengthening business competitiveness. This requires an integrated approach spanning operational strategy, supply chain management, tourism experience design, and performance indicators that make sustainability tangible, measurable, and actionable.
PRE Sustainable Consultancy would like to express our sincere appreciation to the Department of Tourism and the organizers of the Blue Business Plan Dialogue for the opportunity to contribute to this important conversation. We also thank all participants for sharing valuable perspectives and working together toward a future where Thailand’s tourism industry delivers sustainable economic returns while creating meaningful positive impact for society and the environment.
